Media entrepreneurs Doug Hall & Jim Mathis have taken the
coverage of youth sports to a new level-weekly on your radio.
YOUTH SPORTS RADIO is a two hour weekly radio magazine totally
dedicated to the parents, coaches, and mentors of youth sports
athletes. When asked about the potential of this project,
Mr. Hall said:" It's (youth sports) really an underserved
market, especially when it comes to radio…we have now have
more sports programming in this country than ever before,
but no national youth sports voice."
YOUTH SPORTS RADIO feature interviews and commentary from
sports stars, influential coaches, and the best experts on
safety and performance.
"I think once the radio stations hear how we will cover youth
sports, they'll be just as excited as we are" said Mr. Mathis
when asked about anticipated industry opinion.
Mr. Mathis also touched on the importance of programming
like Youth Sports Radio: "YSR definitely promotes family values,
spending time with your kids, safety, and important sports
values like sportsmanship and doing your best". But don't
expect a weekly "hug a thon": "We take our responsibly to
produce a great, entertaining show very seriously. Our mission
is to create the two best hours in sports programming every
week. And we are proud to be doing it on the subject of youth
Doug Hall is a 20 year radio veteran who has worked
in the capacities of Program Director, On-Air Personality,
Marketing Director, and most recently as Account Executive
for WXRK New York and "The Howard Stern Show, as well as Senior
Account Executive for Infinity Broadcasting Baltimore.
Jim Mathis has worked FOX Television where he has
covered the NFL, the NBA, Major League Baseball, as well as
teams: The Washington Redskins, Maryland Terrapins, Baltimore
Orioles, Washington Wizards, and Washington Capitals. He is
also President of Mathis Productions.
